Theme : Yoga for the Welfare of All as One World - One Family

Yoga is a practice which plays an important role in relaxing the mind and body and boosting people’s immune system. International Day of Yoga is observed on June 21 every year. This day celebrates the ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice of yoga. International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and the teachers of Delight Public School on 21st June, 2023 with great eagerness. The theme for this year’s Yoga Day was ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” which means One Earth, One Nation and One Family. Pertaining to this the children performed an array of yoga postures that would improve their mental health including improved posture, flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness. They were also encouraged to practice yoga regularly to remain fit and improve their concentration power.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

“Enjoy the first day of school and embrace the
opportunities that come on the way.”

We commenced our first session on 15th June 2023 and the building came alive with the sound of excited children eager to explore their school, make new friends and settle down in their new learning environment. The first day of school can be a little overwhelming for a child. A cheerful welcome helps children for a positive start to their school journey. To make this journey exciting, successful and memorable, our teachers welcomed the children with sweets flavoured with lots of love and care. Being the first day of new school, the children expressed their combined emotions and had a photo session. This created a positive impact, comfort and eagerness for children to come to school happily.

SCHOOL INAUGURATION CEREMONY

"God is so good to give us New Days and New Years since
He knows we need so many times to start over."

By God’s abundant grace and blessings, the school building was inaugurated on 5th June, 2023 and this was the day when we embarked on our journey with the motto “To instil in every child a Heart to Explore, a Mind to Excel and a Soul to Exult”. This Inaugural ceremony was a moment of pride and celebration for all of us. It was a time to thank God for being with the school Management throughout the construction of the building.
The chief guest Mr. Gokulan M. Rajan, Charted Accountant, inaugurated the new building by lighting the lamp and cutting the ribbon. This was followed by prayer for the invocation of divine blessing. Ms. J. Evaniqca Revalin welcomed the gathering. The Chairman Mr. I. Jeyaseelan, the Correspondent Mr. B. Prabakaran John, the Principal Mrs. C. Sofia Selvarani, the Secretary Mrs. S. Merlin Premila, other distinguished dignitaries, teachers, students, parents and well wishers were also present in the ceremony. A melodious Song by Ms. P. Jenyl Jessica and teachers led everyone into a soulful moment. Song was followed by felicitation that fostered happiness and positivity in all. The chief guest and other dignitaries were honoured with a token of love by the members of the management. Finally the programme came to an end with the vote of thanks by the Correspondent Mr. B. Prabakaran John.
