Independence Day was celebrated with great pride and patriotic fervour on 15th August, 2023 in the school premises with the staff, students and parents to mark the 77th year of freedom from the British rule. The Principal hoisted the National flag. She delivered a short stirring speech on the topic “Responsible Citizens“. Owing to Independence Day celebration, Colouring and Drawing competitions were conducted based on the topics ‘National Symbols’ and ‘My Country’. The winners were awarded with prizes. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for us to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.

Theme : Eat Well; Feel Good

To bring awareness about the importance and consumption of fruits in regular diet, ‘Fruits Day’ was celebrated in our school on 28th July 2023. Children, represented the fruits of their choice through dress/chart, sang fruit rhymes and recited poems on fruits with great zest, enthusiasm and vigour, enjoying the moments of joy and happiness in the company of their mates & teachers. A quiz was conducted by the Principal to test the children’s knowledge, which was very fruitful. Fruit salad was given at the end of the programme. In a nutshell, kids were found to be quite thrilled and were positive on the fact that fruits are better than junk foods.

To Cut The 'Plastic', Use ‘Paper Bags.”

World Paper Bag Day was celebrated on 12th July 2023 at our school campus to promote the significance of utilizing paper bags instead of plastic. The objective of this day is to raise public awareness about the detrimental impact of plastic bags on the environment and to encourage the adoption of paper bags and other eco-friendly alternatives. With this objective in mind, children of our school celebrated ‘World Paper Bag Day’ by making paper bags reusing old papers and showcased their creativity & artistic skills by decorating it.

The students of Delight Public School celebrated their ‘Colours Expo’ with fun and enthusiasm on 30th June in the school premises. Children glowed in different hues and tints of colours enjoying a memorable learning experience by engaging themselves in different activities in a lively, vibrant and high-spirited environment. Children of every class performed different activities relevant to the colour theme and decorated their classrooms colourfully.
