Theme : Together for Trust : Collaborating for a Safe and Connected Future

The World Post Day was celebrated on the 9th October 2023. Children were sensitized about the daily routine working of the Postal Department of the country. They were also given information about various services provided by the postal department and the different products of the postal department like stamps, inland letters, postcards, etc. Children actively engaged themselves in writing greetings and letters on postcards and inland letters to their loved ones. It was a learning experience and a pleasurable day for the children.

Teacher’s Day was organised with incredible gusto by our beloved children on 5th September, 2023. The Teachers’ Day celebration at our school was a testament to the profound respect and admiration that students bear for their teachers. The day marked a joyous and warm celebration, strengthening the bond between teachers and students and providing an opportunity to express heartfelt appreciation for teachers’ dedication and hard work. Mrs. S. Merlin Premila, the Secretary, Jeyaseelan JeniRich Educational & Charitable Trust and the Principal, Mrs. C. Sofia Selvarani presented teachers with gifts as a token of appreciation for their valuable contributions to the school. All the teachers applauded the overwhelming zeal of the students and the School Management for making such a glorious event to cherish forever.

FANCY DRESS & ROLE PLAY

“Clothes makes a statement. Costumes tell a story.
Life is a party so dress like it.”

On 25th September 2023, our School organized a theme based Fancy Dress Competition for the children of Classes KG to III and Role Play for Classes IV to VIII. The main objective of this competition was to develop cognitive skills and confidence in the children. The participants dressed up in colourful costumes and spoke few sentences on the characters that they depicted. Children displayed their talents based on the theme, dressing up as Cartoon Characters and Super Heroes. The participants of the Role Play emulated the renowned National Leaders with confidence and passion. The efforts and hard work of the children were highly commendable. The competition proved to be a great learning experience for the children and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE

Theme : Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the Global Goals

Our School believes in building conscientious, global citizens of the world, in whom values of peace, harmony, empathy and non-violence are deeply ingrained. With this mission in mind, our school has undertaken the celebration of the UN International Day of Peace which is celebrated all over the world on 21st September. To mark this day, all the students of DPS enthusiastically participated in various activities to promote peace in the school environment. They worked together and gave presentations to express their feelings about peace with fellow beings. It was an enriching experience for the students as they realized the importance of unity and peace and we are hopeful that the students will promote peace in all walks of their life.
