PROXIMITY FARE

PROXIMITY FARE

29.07.2024

Only a life lived for others is a life worth while.”

Community Helpers  keep the community safe and healthy, make life better for the people in the community, and help the community function more efficiently. Learning about community helpers helps children to understand being a part of a community, which leads to a feeling of belonging. It helps to foster a sense of teamwork within a child’s world. In order to encourage our little kids to think more closely and value community assistance from an early age, we organized Proximity Fare in Kindergarten on 29th July 2024.

Our children were dressed like Farmers, Milkmen, Vegetables Vendors, Policemen, Doctors, Teachers, Lawyers, Architects, Chefs and Air Hostesses as they all act as pillars of stability and substantially contribute to society’s well-being. They presented their views happily and told that they were proud to be dressed as community helpers. Children were engaged in colouring activity and they recited rhymes on community helpers. The event not only educated children to contribute positively to the society but also fostered a sense of gratitude and respect for those who serve the community.

“Happy times come and go, but the memories stay forever…”

By providing children with tangible experiences, field trips make learning more engaging, memorable, and relevant. Furthermore, they promote critical thinking, enhance observational skills, and nurture a sense of curiosity and wonder. On 19th July 2024, Kindergarten children were taken on a field trip to the  newly opened STEM park in Tuticorin where they were exposed to a view of exhibits related to Science and Technology. Children were excited and expressed their joy on the way to the park.

Various games and other fun activities conducted at the park.helped them to  relax, have fun, and bond with each other. One of the highlights of the trip was the lunch that the children had with their teachers. Through this Field Trip, our children had the opportunity to spend quality time with their friends and teachers. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for them which they will remember for days to come.

Few children were dressed up like Kamaraj and they presented a speech on ‘Kamarajar and his contributions to Education’. Children of classes I to V diagrammatically and colourfully illustrated the achievements of Kamaraj in various areas. A video highlighting the services of Kamaraj to the educational field was shown to the children.

Theme : Sustainable Choices for a Greener Future

Paper Bag Day is observed every year on July 12.  This day serves as a reminder of the environmental advantages of using paper bags over plastic ones. Paper bags are environmental friendly and help reduce plastic that takes a thousand years to decompose. World paper bag day holds great importance in advocating for a greener and cleaner world. Our children celebrated World Paper Bag Day with zeal and happiness.  A presentation was given during the morning assembly by Class VII, emphasizing the importance of recycling and sustainable resource management. Children of classes I to V used old newspapers  and magazines to create paper bags. Then they decorated them artistically. Children of classes VI to VIII designed bags using chart papers, decorated them vibrantly with stickers and other decoration materials. The craft activity was not only fun and engaging for the children but also taught them that paper bag is an important cornerstone to preserve our planet for future generations.
