On June 21, 2024, Our school celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and participation from students and teachers. The event aimed to promote the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of practicing yoga, aligning with the global observance of this day. Warm up exercises were taken and all the children performed sitting and standing asanas, with simultaneous explanation of the postures involved.  The children were taught the importance of Yoga in their life & how to maintain the harmony between body and mind. The children not only exhibited yoga postures but also promised to introduce this activity in their daily lives. The event not only highlighted the importance of yoga for physical health but also emphasized its role in achieving mental and emotional well-being.

          Thank you Blood Donors!

On June 14, 2024, our school proudly hosted Blood Donor Day, an event aimed at promoting the vital act of blood donation and raising awareness about the need for safe blood and blood products. The children created quotes to promote a culture of regular blood donation among young people. The guest  speaker Dr. Uniqca Jitracs shared valuable information on the importance of blood donation, the process involved, and how donated blood is utilized in medical treatments and emergencies. These sessions were interactive, allowing participants to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the cause.

Smile brightly, on your way. School has started, just today!

The start of a new session is always a time filled with excitement. Our school reopened on 12th June 2024 for the academic year 2024-25.  The day was meticulously planned to ensure a smooth transition back to school life for students, staff and parents.

The day began with a vibrant morning assembly which was conducted by the teachers. The event was graced by the presence of the Chairman Mr. I Jeyaseelan, the Correspondent Mr. B. Prabakaran John, the Secretary Mrs. S. Merlin Premila, and the Principal Mrs. C. Sofia Selvarani. The Principal welcomed everyone back with an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of hard work, collaboration and perseverance. She highlighted the school’s achievements from the previous year and outlined key goals for the upcoming year. She encouraged the students to embrace the challenges and opportunities ahead with enthusiasm and determination.

            The KG children were given a star smiley handouts and Classes I to VIII children were given a greeting card to welcome them. The children were very happy to receive the gifts from the class teachers. The regular classes began with ice-breaking activities to help students reacquaint themselves with their classmates. Activities included self-introduction, fun quizzes, group discussions and creative games designed to build camaraderie and ease the transition back to school.

All the children were involved in Hand Print Activity wherein they dipped their hands in colourful paints and left their precious handprints on the activity wall. The activity wall was made colourful with all their handprints. To make the first day of school extra special and memorable one, a photo session was organized at school. Children were taken individual photo with a beautiful wings background. The photos were shared with the parents.

The school’s diligent planning and the collective efforts of the staff, students and parents ensured a smooth and joyous start to the new academic year.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

“May we always respect nature and

never forget to treat it right”

The world environment day is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness to protect nature and the planet earth. World Environment Day was organised in our school on June 14th with a series of educational and engaging activities aimed at raising awareness about environmental protection and promoting sustainable practices. The Principal encouraged the children to participate actively in the day’s events and to incorporate eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. The children took pledge to make all possible changes in their life to protect the environment which is the foundation for sustaining our planet, community and economy. Children of all classes along with the Principal and teachers obligated  for planting and caring of a specific tree, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility towards the environment. Class I & II children were taken for a guided nature walk around the garden at Silverpuram to learn about local flora and fauna. Class VI to VIII Children created different posters on the theme : Save water, Save Life, Save Energy and Save Earth by showcasing their creativity. Children were also taken for an awareness rally around the neighbourhood with the handouts bearing the message related  to saving the earth we live in. The activities provided valuable lessons on environmental stewardship and inspired everyone to take actionable steps towards protect nature.
