We celebrated the 75th Republic Day with fervor and happiness, embodying the spirit of unity, diversity, and progress. The Chairman of the school unfurled the Tricolour flag, marking the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution, symbolizing the nation’s resilience. As a tribute to the country, a patriotic song was sung by the teachers and the Principal imbibed in the children the thought of unity and respect for one another through her speech.

“The great aim of Education is not knowledge but action.”

International Day of Education was celebrated on 24th January to raise awareness about the importance, the role of education for peace and development. We organized various activities and competitions for developing the linguistic skills of the children. The theme “Learning for lasting peace” was emphasized through the message given by the Principal.

“Recitation is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.”

Recitation is a valuable and important aspect that helps children develop excellent rhetorical skills and challenges their fear of speaking in public. Recitation emphasises on the sound and the rhythm of language, thus building a child’s phonemic awareness and improves reading abilities. A Recitation competition was held on 20th November in form of Poetry, Psalm and Thirukkural that brought out the self-expression of our children with the creativity of words and emotions that conveyed a message.

PONGAL & CULTURAL FEST

the Best Food and the Best Life!”

Pongal Celebration & Cultural Fest at Delight Public School was an extraordinary day with a typical village Pongal celebration on 12th January 2024. The children were briefed about the difficulties the farmers face in cultivating the grains and cereals which are essential for our life. Teachers and children made colourful Rangolis during the celebration. All were served with sweet Pongal.
The various events were designed in a manner to expose the tradition of our state. Dance and singing competitions were conducted on this day. Ms. J. Evaniqca Revalin and Ms. Thivya Jyothi were invited as judges for the competitions. They rendered their great support and motivated the children to take part in the competitions without fear.
Traditional games like Balloon Bursting, Murukku Biting, Obstacle Race, Musical Chair, Slow Cycle Race, Hopping and Tug of War were conducted. Mrs. S. Merlin Premila, the Secretary, Jeyaseelan JeniRich Educational & Charitable Trust and the Principal, Mrs. C. Sofia Selvarani distributed the prizes to the winners. The Pongal celebration in our school, is a true manifestation of our rich culture and traditions.
