In commemoration of the Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna K. Kamaraj, Education Development Day is observed on July 15th every year. Our school children celebrated this day by decorating the portrait of Shri. K. Kamaraj and paid tribute. Few children were dressed up like Kamaraj and they presented a speech on ‘Kamarajar and his contributions to Education’. Children of classes I to V diagrammatically and colourfully illustrated the achievements of Kamaraj in various areas. A video highlighting the services of Kamaraj to the educational field was shown to the children.

Paper Bag Day

Theme : Sustainable Choices for a Greener Future

Paper Bag Day is observed every year on July 12.  This day serves as a reminder of the environmental advantages of using paper bags over plastic ones. Paper bags are environmental friendly and help reduce plastic that takes a thousand years to decompose. World paper bag day holds great importance in advocating for a greener and cleaner world. Our children celebrated World Paper Bag Day with zeal and happiness.  A presentation was given during the morning assembly by Class VII, emphasizing the importance of recycling and sustainable resource management. Children of classes I to V used old newspapers  and magazines to create paper bags. Then they decorated them artistically. Children of classes VI to VIII designed bags using chart papers, decorated them vibrantly with stickers and other decoration materials. The craft activity was not only fun and engaging for the children but also taught them that paper bag is an important cornerstone to preserve our planet for future generations.

“Leadership is the capacity to translate a vision into reality”

The Investiture Ceremony was held on 6th July 2024. This significant event marked the formal installation of our student council members and other office bearers for the academic year 2024 – 25. Mrs. S. Merlin Premila, Secretary, Jeyaseelan JeniRich Educational & Charitable Trust graced the occasion. The ceremony began with a Prayer, Prayer Song followed by Bible Reading. Welcome speech was delivered by Ms. Riana.

The Student Council, comprising the Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, Vice Captains, Prefects, Sports Secretaries, Cultural Secretary, Discipline Secretary, Language Secretary and Class Monitors were adorned with their badges by the dignitaries on stage. This was followed by the Oath-Taking Ceremony, where the newly elected student council members pledged to uphold the values and ethos of the institution. Children enthusiastically performed a dance to motivate the student council members to by our children. The Principal Ms. C. Sofia Selvarani in her address emphasized the importance of leadership and the responsibilities that come with it. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Anisha followed by the National Anthem.

The Investiture Ceremony  instilled a sense of responsibility and pride in the newly elected leaders. It marked the beginning of a new chapter in their journey, encouraging them to lead by example and contribute positively to the school community.

KG COLOR EXPO 2024

COLOUR EXPO – 2024

“Colour! What a deep and mysterious language,

the language of dreams.”

Colour can sway thinking, change actions and cause reactions. Colour Expo was celebrated by KG children with great enthusiasm at our school, bringing a burst of vibrant colours and joy to the campus. The Kindergarten children were allocated with different shades of colours and they were dressed up in the assigned colour (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink, Purple, Black and White). Colourful decorations and balloons adorned the venue.  The event aimed to highlight the significance of colours in our lives while fostering creativity and learning experience among children.

Teachers and children spoke about the significance of different colours during class time and they sang rhymes on colours. All the children were involved in an activity of sorting out the different coloured balls and blocks. Fun games and activities, such as colour-themed relay race, finger print activity enabled the little ones not only to play games but also enhanced their reasoning minds. A vibrant colourful fashion parade was performed by the children. As a token of remembrance children were given colourful hand fans. The Colours Expo was a joyful and memorable event, showcasing our school’s vibrant spirit, bringing excellent learning experience for our children.
